Hannah Jacobs

Hannah Jacobs (Belgium, 1988) studies fashion design at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Ghent (KASK).
By practicing classical and modern dance and watching performances her attention was drawn to the interaction of the dancer with his costume.
Clothes must live, be in motion.
Throughout her work the nomad is a central theme. ON THE ROAD is the title of her third year collection. The functionality of the military uniforms and other trekking clothes are important sources of inspiration. Recognizable finishings stand in contrast with unusual material use and details, realism and surrealism alternate.
Bags and (leather) accessories play an important role. In June 2011 she received the Movex FFI AWARD.
